It’s that time again! It’s time to head outside and see what sort of adventures you can have away from the recycled air and electronic gizmos of the indoors. Why go outside? Why not!
It’s going to be pretty soon. As this long winter starts to draw to a close, the weather will finally start to warm up and we’ll be able to get outside and actually enjoy the weather. Breathe in the warm air and enjoy the breezes as you lap up the sunshine.
A hammock is calling your name. What is more relaxing than kicking back in a hammock, swinging in the slight breeze watching clouds with someone special or just closing your eyes and taking the best kind of impromptu springtime nap.Digging in the dirt is great fun.
If you love to see things grow and flower, this is the time to get out there and start planting them. Invest in some bulbs and new plants and start cutting back plants that died over the winter to be ready for some fresh spring growth.
Exercise purges demons. All those irritations that have built up over the winter trapped primarily indoors need a place to go. Purge them with the first runs of spring time outside breathing fresh air.Cheer on the baseball team.
Easily one of the most enjoyable spring sports for spectators, visit your local baseball diamond with friends and cheer on your buddies as they play. The night air is perfect for peanuts and popcorn and some nice conversations. Best of all, the games tend to be free or pretty close to it.
Take a long bike ride. Go riding out along the more rural roads or paths in your town to get a true picture of nature starting to pick itself up and dust off the snow and cold. Watch for green buds to start appearing on trees and bushes and watch the daily or weekly progress of the grass and flowers coming back.Enjoy a boat ride.
It’s still more than a bit cold for swimming, but getting out on a lake in a boat for a ride in the fresh spring air is invigorating and refreshing. Clear your lungs and let your hair get tangled. Bring along a picnic lunch and a few friends and you’re set for an afternoon with plenty of fun.Pull on a tank top.
You might still be in jeans and a hoodie, but the first tank top of the season is a truly remarkable feeling. The freedom of movement is astounding and you’ll be able to start working on toning up those arms with a bit of track and field or some gardening.
Get a pedicure. Not strictly an outside thing, the pedicure is perfect for showing off in the flip-flops you’re going to be sporting soon. Think of how refreshing it will be to pull on a pair of new flip flops and shorts in the coming months and heading outside for sunshine and adventure.
