From the small town to a major hottie, Chris Brown is a bit more than your All-American boy. Chris Brown as always a nice looking kid, but when he started to get a bit older he developed into far more than "nice looking." Chris Brown is now of one of the most drooled after teenage boy stars.
Chris got his start in a way that's inspirational to many of us since he didn't have the industry grooming and support so many stars have today. He liked music, especially rap, so he started to sing and rap. One day his mother heard him singing around the house and was amazed that her son could sing as well as he did. So, she started talking about finding a producer, manager and all the other things you need to make it big.
Where Chris grew up, this was a very big deal. Why? Because Chris wasn't from Detroit, New York, or LA. He was born and raised in a very small town in Virginia called Tappahannock. Only about 2000 people live there, which is less than the number of people in my high school.
Using His Talents
Chris immediately put his singing talents to work. He starting singing to all the girls at his school, and using his skills to get some female attention. Finally, when he saw how well that was working, he went ahead and got serious about a music career. Chris officially began his career at the ripe old age of 13.
After finding a production agent, Chris headed up to New York where the action was. He stayed there for two years and released his first album, Chris Brown. He was an immediate success especially with the younger crowd. Teenagers all over the country could understand and relate to his songs about finding young love, discovering how much you like someone and dealing with rejection. Overnight it seemed, Chris was a major star.
Chris the Star
Once he was officially a star in the recording world, Chris didn't actually change very much. He is still close to his family and likes to do a lot of the things teenage boys all over the country like to do. He hangs out with friends, plays a lot of basketball, and flirts with girls. He has a little help in the girl department with his amazing good looks.
He's releasing another album in August called Exclusive which will be sure to win him as many awards as his first. To date, Chris has won TRL, MTV, BET, Billboard and other major awards, and has been nominated for Grammy and Soul Train awards. To top it all off, Chris isn't satisfied with his music career. He wants to expand his skills, and has recently made the jump into movies.
Chris was a minor character on the OC for a few shows, and made his first film debut in Stomp the Yard last January. He is said to be starring in two new movies that will be coming out soon, This Christmas and Phenom. Phenom sounds perfect for Chris since it involves the six-foot-one-inch star's other favorite hobby basketball.
