We love to watch celebrities, and lately we've been seeing lots of variation on celebrity dresses. There are the casual dresses and skirts worn out and around town. There are also party dresses captured in pictures for entertainment shows and websites. Finally we love the formal dresses and gowns the lovely ladies are wearing to award shows.

What looks great on a celebrity can certainly look good on you, too. Of course, we have much more use for the casual styles that can be worn to school or parties than a formal dress, but a girl can dream.

Casual Dresses

The big thing right now seems to tights. Okay, so tights and leggings aren't really a dress, but to complete the style, you should be wearing your tights or leggings under a mini skirt or short smock or dress. The last time this look was popular, Madonna started it off and paired it with a few (okay a lot) of rubber bracelets back in the Eighties.

Sun dresses and baby doll dresses are being seen a lot this year on celebrities, too and they will only get more popular as we get closer to summer. Loose, breezy and comfortable are the way to go. And if you're worried about your skirt being too breezy, pair it up with a set of leggings to make sure you're protected and fashionable at the same time.

Party Dresses

Red is in! A lot of celebrities are sporting little red dresses or at least little red accessories for otherwise neutral dresses. The party dress has been a staple since you were a little girl, but now that you are old enough to leave the bows and ribbons behind, why not try out a dress with a little sophistication? For a night out on the town or even an important date, try taking your style up a notch and find a dress that suits you and the latest fashions.

Formal Dresses

With all of the award shows lately, there have been tons of new dresses seen on the runways. There are a lot of flowing gowns as well as quite a few figure-forming dresses. Stars have lots of dresses to choose from, and most are making excellent suggestions.

Goddess gowns are big right now with flattering drapes and folds. Shining or shimmering fabrics are also popular at the moment. It won't be long before we see shining gold, silver, and platinum dresses being sported at proms and dances all over the country.

The popular colors were pastels and light tones with a lot of white seen as well. There were a few stars such as Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon in darker hues, which looked beautiful of course. The lesson here? Almost anything goes, but Hollywood is definitely all about glamour this year - the more the better.

Even if you're usually a jeans and shirt kind of girl, it might be worth your while to try out one of the latest dress styles. The casual dresses are cute and comfortable, and for special occasions there is nothing better than a beautiful dress to make you feel your best. Whatever your style, check out the newest dress trends (and celebrities wearing them) here on the Doll Palace.

you dont always hafta be a "t shirt and jeans" girl or an "i skirts" girl, you can wear whatever you feel like wearing that day...n just cuz you wear jeans more often than skirts doesnt mean you are only a "jeans n t shirt girl..."
