It’s interesting what a sibling will do to you. When you are a girl and you happen to have a brother, your whole universe is colored by his presence. Older, younger, twin – it doesn’t matter, having a boy related to you makes things different. Sometimes things are better; most of the time they are worse, but life with a brother is rarely boring.

The Pesky Younger Brother

When you were blessed with a baby brother, you might have found him enchanting at first. He was cute, cuddly and loved you unconditionally it seemed, of course those traits are also found in a pet Chihuahua, so it’s no surprise things started to change. Oh, he’s still cute, he’s still cuddly at times, but the problem is he loves you so much he wants to play with you all the time – whether you want his company or not.

The pesky younger brother is the one who goes into your room and messes with your stuff – first because he wants to be like you, but as he ages, he’ll start sneaking around in there just to annoy you. And that’s when he becomes a full-fledged….

Annoying Younger Brother

When your little bother is innocent to his crimes, such as wanting to watch movies with your friends during a sleep-over or using your Barbie as part of his army fight sequence, you can’t really blame him. But when he starts searching for your diary and reading your notes, he’s intolerable. This period of totally outrageous and hair-ripping behavior can last for years depending on how immature your bother is and how much you try to get revenge, but througho\ut at least, there are times of…

Friendly Younger Brother

When you find yourself on a car trip together or suddenly realize you both like the same television show, you might realize that your bother’s not a bad guy all the time. Some girls are lucky enough to have a younger brother they can talk to, hang out with, and even buddy around with at school. Of course, when you have an older brother that changes everything…

The Aloof Older Brother

What do you do when your older brother is much too good to be in your presence? Older brothers are interesting topics for gossip with your friends and so much fun to spy on. I’m sure this is why they like to pretend little sisters don’t exist for a long time no matter how great you think he is. But fortunately, this all changes when he becomes…

Older Brother: Your Protector

You might as well grab the boy a superhero’s cape, because that’s obviously what he thinks he is. Suddenly none of your boyfriends are good enough, and his friends certainly aren’t good enough to even consider dating HIS little sister. While all this protection is good and rather flattering, it can get a bit old having THREE parents – one of whom is only a year older than you. This attitude, for many older brothers at least, never goes away. Your future husband’s worst enemy or best friend might very well be your older brother. The bonds are that strong – whether you realize it now or not.

ugh my little brother is a brat. He's the youngest so my parents let him get away with everything. He doesn't lift the seat up because 'he doesn't want to' he beats up my other sister and doesn't ever get in trouble for it.

I have a brother AND an older brother!

Older brother doesnt live with us though. He's the protective kind, constantly telling me who NOT to date.....

Younger brother is so obnoxious! But, of course, sometimes he's still cute and cuddly, since he's only 8. I want a baby sister to come...

Ugh. I have an older brother. And he had a party last night. SO I'm not exactly in the greatest of moods for tolerating him.

He's overprotective and kind of annoying. He seems to enjoy beating me up and forgetting I'm his SISTER and not his brother. Bleh.

Sometimes I love him, but he likes to pry into my business a bit too much. I'm honestly afraid to have a boyfriend because of him.

I can't say I wish I had a younger brother or was an only child, but he is very skilled at getting on my nerves.

I have an younger brother and a todler sister. They both get on my nerves a lot! My brother totally hates all my hobbies, preferably, singing, and my sister is a non-stop chatting machine! They always fight with each other too, so that doesn't really help. But, I guess it's normal, when he's 11 and she's 5.

I have a younger brother... and a twin sister who's a tomboy. I might as well grown up with two brothers, both annoying and both mean and both really really irritable.

I'm glad my sister (who's still a tomboy) has gotten a little better, but I have to say the biggest improvement is my little brother. I moved to TN and got married, and when I came home for Christmas it was like we had been best friends for years but didn't even know it. I have an awesome brother, now that he's not a crybaby-meanie-person anymore lol.

But yeah, growing up we hated each other, there was no cute, even in the beginning.
