Okay, I realize it’s not an especially popular sentiment, but I’m sure there are others out there who agree – I want school
to start again. Now, I’m not a rigorous student or anything, but there are definitely some advantages to heading back to the classroom.
I miss my friends – Sure I see most of my friends over the summer, but that’s not the same thing as sitting down at our lunch table and talking about anything and everything every single day. Everyone is traveling or working over the summers anyhow, so it’s hard to stay in touch and talk as much as I’d like to.I want to do something creative
– I love art classes and other electives that include creativity. There are plenty of games online I can play that give me some feeling of artsy-ness, but I also like learning from my teacher and trying new things under her direction. I feel like I learn more that way.My brain feels dull
– Think of a pretty new penny. That’s how bright and shiny my brain used to look. Right now it looks more like the penny that is practically black from sitting around so long. I’m not a genius, but I’d like to learn something new and interesting. I’m ready for a few new challenges that I didn’t just make up by myself. My room is confining
– As much as I love to spend time in my room and around my house, it would be nice to have somewhere to go every day. I have places to go now, of course, but they don’t have the same feeling as heading to a huge building populated with friends and potential crushes
I want to see who’s changed – So many people seem to change over the summer. I want to see who’s different and who’s dating whom. Who looks great and who needs to rethink a new wardrobe? Who’s gotten a new build over the summer that is worth noticing and perhaps admiring from afar (or up close)?I want to flirt
– It’s much easier to meet and talk to guys
at school than it is around town. It feels a bit dangerous in most cases to smile and flirt with strangers. At school it never feels like a stranger when you see someone new and decide to give him a little smile. It’s like a flirting safety zone.
I like to show off – Not the nicest thing in my personality, but I do like to show off. After spending a summer buying new things and working on my new look, I’m ready to present myself to the world. I like the first few days of school when you choose your outfits religiously and get up early to be sure your hair and make up are at their finest. Every year is a new journey and I like to start my journey on the right foot – while wearing great new shoes.
