We are able to live comfortable lives today thanks to those who have gone
before us. Our ancestors struggled to form new societies that eventually
spread out to become entire countries. Those who came before us sacrificed
a great deal to ensure we were able to have the choices we have today, and
Thanksgiving is the holiday we set aside to celebrate those individuals.
Our ancestors and their feast often show up in Thanksgiving coloring pages.
We also use the holiday in the same way as our ancestors, by being thankful
for all that we do have and focusing on the aspects of life that make is so
special - friends and family.
